Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Poured a very dark black with an average head. Aroma of chocolate and very easy to drink. Looks great in the glass.

No início, amargor moderado.

Thispours dark with a medium head. There is a hint of chocolate and malt on the pour. The chocolate comes back and then a bitter finish. All in all not a bad beer.

330ml bottle from Nelsons. Very dark brown/near black with no real head. Sweet dark choc malt on the nose and on the tongue, but with a cheesy note that gives it body and a fruity hint right at the swallow. Very soft on the tongue, slightly oily.

bottle poured a black in color with a thin dark tan head. aroma has light roast, dark malt, dark chocolate, and sweetness. flavor has a good level of chocolate malt, faint bitterness, and molasses sweetness. not quite motor oil but well done and flavorful.

I was pissed off by the name of this beer I expected something a lot thicker heavier engine oiler This is a watery unsatisfying palate that should get a one out of five just because they called it engine oil Well barring that it is actually quite enjoyable In the end the six percent abv felt about right and so I can forgive mostly

Pours inky black with a small, dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate with some malt in the background. Very smooth on the palate...almost unexpectedly so. Chocolatey notes with a slight bitterness at the end. Nutty undertones as well. Very good.

very well balanced. bottle. pours black with copper highlights. very thin to no head. aroma is very faint smells mostly of chocolate and smoke. starts with a tingle as to suggest alot of carbonation but the head says otherwise. but urgently turns to a silky chocolate and then a smoky hop flavor that lasts. after the bottle i noticed my mouth was really dry. i dont know what that means so i wrote it. overall i think it would make a great day to day beer.
