Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Pours very dark brown with thin tan head. The aroma is full and rich with sweet dark grape jam, ripe plums, dark toastiness, a bit of earthiness and chocolate. Smells very yummy. The taste begins with tasty dark fruity esters and mild earthiness. The dark roasted malts, toasted malts and some tasty dark chocolate all come together taking things to the finish. Even, smooth, somewhat rich and blended flavors makes this a tasty brew.

11.2oz btl. Pours an opaque black with a nice head that looks like chocolate mousse. Nice roasty nose. Taste is strong roast with chocolate tones and molasses that coat the mouth and finishes strong. Dark and delicious.

Dark poor with thin copper head that disipated quickly. Subtle roasted malt and chocolate notes. Dry finish... I liked it and had two of them.

Thanks to rcasta. Bottle: Think heavy and oily. Porter, stout and ale all together. Well balanced and nicely crafted.
