COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Bottle. Dark brown head. Dark full-bodied beer. Rich, rich, rich. Strong taste is a shock at first but I could drink a second bottle.

330 ml bottle. Black body with a moderate sized tan head. Aroma has fark, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and some liquorice. Need to be warmed up a bit before opening up. Flavor is sweet, dark, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dry fruit and some liquorice with balanced bitterness. Fine body and nice aftertaste. Nothing extreme, but a well-made and complex beer.

Very dark, black oily appearance. It tastes of strong dark chocolate and coffee making a complex taste as a whole.

Pyöräkadulla 2/2015. Just like the label says: rich, bittersweet and viscous. Very enjoyable ale.

Bottle: Poured a dark black with a tannish brown head that dissipates quickly leaving a thin amount of lacing. The aroma is of caramel, bread, chocolate and roasted malts. The medium body is creamy with a lasting taste that is balanced between a medium bitterness with some sweetness from the caramel and chocolate.

Pours a lovely black/brown with a nice persistent tan head. Lacing. The aroma eventually opens up to reveal: caramel, toast, dough, earthy, alcohol, some banana, chocolate, some vanilla, wow. Taste is perfect balance; sweet gives way to sour/bitter with umami. Palate is really the only weak point and I’m picking nits. A little on the oily side and some stickiness. None of this is bad. Just, a bit distracting from the better elements. Overall an awesome brew.

Deep dark brown colour and beige coloured head on top. Head leaves lots of lacing behind. Aroma has roasted malts, coffee and some grassy notes. Taste has coffee, wooden notes, lots of roasted malts. Slightly dry and bitter after taste. Full body with medium carbonation. Well just a decent ’Old ale’.

It pours black with a dark brown head. There is the heavy aroma of chocolate with some coffee and roasted elements. It has the taste of coffee and chocolate with roasted flavors. It has a moderately bitter finish.

A lovely aroma of coffee, liquorice, chocolate and some citrus arises from the glass. It’s got roasted coffee and citrus in the mouth, but there’s a slightly burnt aftertaste which ruins the finish.
