COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Flaske. Svart, litt oljeaktig konsistens. Noe skum som forsvinner. Noe karbonert. Smaket kaffe, røstet malt, lakris og sjokolade. En meget fin øl som har ganske tykk, nesten Kremet konsistens samtidig som den er veldig lettdrikkelig

Bottle. A- Dark chocolate, iron, roasty. A- Black color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Dark chocolate, bittersweet, dry, roasty, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Not sure what makes a beer an old ale on here but this is certainly somewhere between a porter or stout for me. Not superbly exciting, but a decent enough brew. Nothing really stood out in it.

Lore (2169) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 2, 2016
dark brown colour, medium sized, dense beige head, which disappears quickly; aroma of chocolate, some herbal liqueur notes, maybe earth; taste is also dominated by dark chocolate with some herbal notes and hints of peat and wood; for me, it is more like a porter than an old ale - not an extraordinary, but a really enjoyable one
