COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

At the Belgrade-Serbia tasting on 31/10/2015. Bottle courtesy of markoijelena. Pours deep black color, a little lacing. Nose: dusty, smoked meat, provola cheese. Everything in a mild and balanced way. Elegant. Mouth: a bit too bitter but quite balanced anyway, roasted malts body, burnt malts with a pleasant sweet final.

Bottle. Dark brown with a brown head. Thick malty body and flavor. Chocolate and a hint of berries: very good beer, but it seems a porter.

330ml bottle from M&S. Big tan head, good lacing. Dark near-black body. Nose is roasted nuts, chocolate, coffee. Flavour is creamy coffee, hazelnut, chocolate, malty bitter coffee finish. Light carbonation, rich creamy mouthfeel, smooth, a little sticky at the finish. One to be savoured on a dark night.

Very nice indeed. Pours much like a porter, dark amber almost black with creamy tan head which lingers and leaves lacing in the glass. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dried fruit and a touch of vanilla. Taste is medium sweet and nicely bitter, quite slick in the mouth and long dry finish. Worth sipping and savouring. Good one!

Pours dark brown with a persistent creamy head that dictates the creamy mouth feel. Chocolate and dried fruit flavours dominate. There are hints of Christmas cake complete with brandy infusion. The finish is sweet. Very little bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
