madsberg (4873), Sřborg, Denmark Mar 16, 2007 Bottled. Dark burgundy coloured. Dense light brown head. Light smoke, light roast, light spice, fruits and sweetness in the aroma. Quite complex. Flavour is raoasted, sweet, light spiced, has some brown sugar and vague smoke notes. Medium to full bodied. Nice spiced and light roasted end. Good beer. alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Mar 15, 2007 Draft. Something just didnt click with me and this beer. There was a complexity of flavors; some dark fruit, sweetness, malt, and some roasted peat like flavors. Average to good body. golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Mar 15, 2007 Draft. This beer was an interesting mix of flavors. It had the sweet dark fruit malty flavor mixed with bitter chocolate and light roasting flavors. Decent beer. gnoff (3560), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 11, 2007 (33 cl bottle at Delirium Café, Göteborg) Black look, small tan head. Hoppy and malty scent in a good balance. Pleasant & enjoyable! jackson220 (136), new lenox, Illinois, USA Feb 24, 2007 bottle.....i love a good porter..in fall,winter..well anytime..This beauty wants to be an imperial stout. Very impressive. Pours black as night with a thin orange colored head. As this warms up, it gets more and more aromatic. Smells of bourbon, toffee, coffee and chocolate. The taste is malty and full with some caramel notes. Has a bitter note of dark chocolate in the finish.of course it would be nice if it was cheaper but I will defnitely get this one again. is it ok to say "very yummy to the tummy? " frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Feb 6, 2007 Pours with a wet, skinny, fast, mocha head over a prune juice colored body. Mild prunes, too, in the nose with sweeter fruity notes along with some red wine and I get the impression of Sangria. Additional chocolate notes chime in as I begin to sip, and I gather a revised impression in the flavor of Fannie May chocolate pineapple jelly candies. Additional dark fruits with chocolate syrup carry through to the finish. Spicy palate with a musty finish adds interest. Less vinous than the <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/harviestoun-old-engine-oil-special-reserve/27841/18655/>Special Reserve... I like this a lot.
