Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Would be good with icecream. Has a stout like flavor but less body. Very rich. Taste did not go with aroma. Tastes like a well managed forest (yes, this is our 14th beer we have tasted today). Umm, it coats the tounge in a really nice way. The malt dances on the tounge and sustains.

Bottle: Dark body with thin tan head. Coffee, sugar cane, little raisin and a lot of smoke detected in this very nice aroma. In the mouth, this beer starts out very sweet, with molasses and sugar cane flavors, undercut by some smokiness and nuttiness. Very easy to drink. Becomes very fruity as it warms. When its cold, one can really taste the whisky aspect better. I found the body to be very weak for the style, in my mind the only major flaw in this beer.

Bottled. Dark burgundy coloured. Dense light brown head. Light smoke, light roast, light spice, fruits and sweetness in the aroma. Quite complex. Flavour is raoasted, sweet, light spiced, has some brown sugar and vague smoke notes. Medium to full bodied. Nice spiced and light roasted end. Good beer.

Draft. Something just didnt click with me and this beer. There was a complexity of flavors; some dark fruit, sweetness, malt, and some roasted peat like flavors. Average to good body.

Draft. This beer was an interesting mix of flavors. It had the sweet dark fruit malty flavor mixed with bitter chocolate and light roasting flavors. Decent beer.

(33 cl bottle at Delirium Café, Göteborg) Black look, small tan head. Hoppy and malty scent in a good balance. Malty and roasted malt, chocolate taste. Some acids. Roasted malt and grainy aftertaste. Soft smooth mouthfeel. Medium bitterness.
