Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Black body, creamy beige head; Well this beer actually smells of used engine oil, but it could of cause also be read much fresher with green apples and a malty sweetness; Soft textured body, quite acidy but very simple; Quite dry finish, long and bitter, aromas same as nose but here mixed with a little tar. Alright, but very simple and to clean.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black with a small creamy beige head. Rich chocolate and espresso aroma, with smooth chocolate in the lead and roasted notes in the background. Complex bitter chocolate flavours, blending nicely with espresso and just a hint of berries. Dry finish. I would not call it an old ale, I think it is more of a member in the baltic porter family.

from an 11.2 oz. bottle. Poured the color of used motor oil. Little to no head. Aroma of roasted malt, alcohol, dried fruit, piloncilo, and dark chocolate. Good dark malt flavor balanced by hop bitterness and a bit of a winey finish. Not as dark and roastey as a dry stout. Very nice beer.

Pours black from a bottle. Nice tan head, great lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, dark fruit, and some smoke. Flavor is very chocolaty with coffee and a mildly hoppy, smoky finish.

Bottle. Pours like a quart of motor oil and has a thick, mocha colored head with sticky lacing. Aroma has hints of licorice, raisins, and molasses, very earthy. Flavor has the same qualities with a little bit of chocolate in the back end. Has some smoked, roasty notes in there as well.
