COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

This tastes a bit better after finding out it’s not necessarily a Tesco beerski. Full of burnt bitterness that makes you sup rather than glug.

Bottle in The Office. Aroma: Coffee, chocolate, pumpernickel, caramel, bit of hoppy spiciness, not very intensive but pleasant. Appearance: Very durable head, long-lasting and dense, black colour. Taste: Quite high tobacco biterness, coffee, chocolate, caramel, toast, dark bread, caramel, licorice, roasty. Palate: Finish is bitter, body is medium-high, carbonation low.

Black. Rich malty flavour and aroma, with plenty of liquorice and chocolate. Full, sweetish taste, with a dry and bitter finish. Full body, with a smooth and rounded texture. Overall, a wonderful porter. Very rich and tasty, balanced, drinkable, smooth, and the finish seems to last forever.

Bottle. Pours black with a frothy tan head. Mostly bitter chocolate and coffee aroma, some nuts maybe. Nice palate, rich body, quite a bit of carbonation to keep it alive. It’s almost like a dark IPA. Flavour is mostly bitter coffee and milk chocolate, nicely balanced. Bitter finish, long. Yummy beer.

Piękna beżowa piana, obfita i trwała. Barwa ciemno brązowa z rubinowymi refleksami. W aromacie karmel, czekolada, cukier kandyzowany, likier waniliowy a także chmielowo ziołowe nuty, może odrobina siarki po ogrzaniu. W smaku półwytrawne, palone, czekoladowe, kawowe, karmelowe, rodzynkowe. Goryczka średnia do wysokiej, palono żywiczno tytoniowa. Wysycenie niskie, półpełne i kremowe w odbiorze.
Bardzo przyjemny Old Ale, solidnie nachmielony i gładki jednocześnie. Nieco mniej się tu dzieje niż w wersjach leżakowanych w beczkach, ale i tak jest solidnie.

HOME 17072016 (33 cl bottle, Black IPA, 6% ABV, bb feb 2017): A brilliant dark red-brown clear beer with a dark brown head. A main aroma of chocolate and mocha (nice malty) with some nuts, raisins and red fruit. A somewhat sweet taste of chocolate, raisins, cherry. A full bodied beer with light sticky sweetness and somewhat dry bitterness from the malt. A good complex beer.
