Rocking stout from Harviestoun. Reallt great wuality beer from a really good quality brewery - one of my favs. pretty much as perfect and well balabced as a 6% stout can be. love it! :)

This brew poured a dark brown with medium head. A very thick beer, it’s almost a mix between styles of porter and stout, only very rich and malty smooth. There were tastes of licorice and slight nuttiness. Very, very excellent beer, but expensive! $4 for a 12oz bottle. You’ve gotta taste this one once, just for the unique flavor!

Yummy watery smoky malt flavor. Followed by sweet brown sugar Then comes a bitterness like you’ve been drinking a hoppy beer. . Scratchy palette. Color is perfect dark and mysterious. It gets better as it gets warmer. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pitch Black beer with no head, Lots of carbonation bubbles come to the top instead. Powerful aroma of bitter chocolate and yeast. Smells like engine oil :) Porter-like strong taste has chocolate, lemon and roasted malt. Bitter dry oily finish. Medium body. Has character and complexity. Splendid. 180208

A beautifully stouty beer, much like a porter. For mine, it tasted noticeably but not unpleasantly salty. It could easily become a favourite, subject to availability for me.

DELICIOUS. Had at The Pub in Pembroke Pines. Pours a super dark brown color with a tan head. Malty aromas everywhere with driied dark fruit and chocolate. Once the thick and rich malty beer hits your tongue you smile knowing you are drinking a great beer. Some bitterness balances out this beer. Very nice!

Bottle. Remarkable and original beer. The aroma gives chocolate, biscuits, and fruits of the forest. Flavour starts sweet, with nice bitterness in the background and a long finish. Looks good, black with an average creamy head with good length. Oily in the palate, medium to full body.

This beer pours completely black with a very small head that reduces to a ring around the glass. No lacing. The colour is like a cola. Aroma is toasted brown bread with a lot of black licorice. Some good coffee smells too. Taste is very well balanced, there is a lot of sweetness but it is held in check by a lingering hop bitterness. Similar to the smell, there is a lot of coffee and toast flavours. Some chocolate too. Mouthfeel is great, thick and creamy as would be expected. A really thin and soft carbonation to make the body seem even fuller. Good and very drinkable. The mouthfeel is kind of like an oatmeal stout, but the flavour leans more towards a classic english stout IMO.
