Cask. Almost black colour, brown hue. Very creamy light brown head. Hoppy aroma. Flavour is also hoppy, sweet, fruity and salty. Soft creamy mouthfeel. Quite easy to drink and is gone far too quickly.

Cask at Guildford Arms, Edinburgh. Black, small white head. Aroma of coffee and tar. Sweet and very malty, reeks of freshly ground coffee. Full bodied with notes of plums. Softly poerful and really good.

Cask at Guildford Arms, Edinburgh. Black colour, with small light-brown head. Tar, glue and licorice aroma. Salty, almost fishy flavour profile, with a fair deal of sweetness. Smokiness is here. Bit of gluey maltiness. Long, salty finish. Wonderful beer in a league of its own.

Very dark pour with a soft, light tan head. Earthy, dry aromas with baked chocolate, dark caramel and coffee. Lots of length on the palate with a hot, dry finish. Plenty of plummy fruit is soon overwhelmed by the other malty components. Surprisingly light and creamy mouthfeel.
