3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 flying_pig (341) - SCOTLAND - NOV 23, 2011
Cask as JDW:
Mild on the nose, there is some tropical fruit notes to begin with and it has a surprisingly summery aroma to it for a ’festive’ ale. There is some flowery notes and faint hops, with a bitter finish.
Clear, golden amber colour with a pinky sized, foamy white head that leaves a little lacing on the glass.
Clean tasting with a mildy fruity taste and with some mild citrus, although it is much like the aroma & is also rounded off by a bitter finish.
A light medium body that is smooth with low carbonation and a bitter end.
This one was pleasant with a nice, mild fruit aroma and taste but I didn’t go back for a second & probably won’t have this one again I’m afraid. Worth a try if you come across it though.
