harrisoni (5474), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 10, 2006 Cask gravity at Catford BF 06. Surprised that I had not rated this before. Was really on its last legs. Copper amber colour with lasting beige head. Astringent hoppy aroma. Good fruit in mouth, some grapefruit, some raspberry. Like many Harviestoun beers has that distinctive hoppiness. HogTownHarry (3361), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Sep 17, 2007 Cask. At The Harp, Covent Garden, London. Amber-gold pour, clear, with a creamy/foamy white head. Light grain aroma, medium sweet, light spicy yeast, and floral hops. This is a light-tasting beer, but lovely - tastes like autumn --- mild roast malt, ripe cereal grain, fairly strong ready-to-harvest herbal hops, a hint of winesap apples and even a whisper of woodsmoke. Light and chewy mouthfeel, nicely astringent, with a moderately long floral-herbal finish. This one struck a major chord in me, I full-out loved this beer. dnas2 (524), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England May 7, 2006 Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Cloudy golden to dark amber, with a little foamy head. Caramel aroma, with a hint of orange. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Really good. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Aug 24, 2005 Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Brown gold. A big blade of clean hops, mit einen metal tang to finish. Slick and long. Another full flavoured winner. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Oct 12, 2005 Low aroma with notes of caramel and fresh fruit. Hazy copper coloured body with low but lasting off white fine bubbled that lasts well and coats the glass. Lightly fruity, earthy, floral hops with mild finishing bitterness. Medium-light body with fair carbonation. Cask at Charlie’s Pub, Copenhagen.
