Commercial Description:
Cask: Regular. The bottled version has a separate listing.
Brewed with lager malt and Hersbrücker and Challenger hops. Fermented with a lager yeast, but treated in every other way as a cask ale, save for a week or two of cool conditioning prior to release.
Named after the misty mountain near Pitlochry. Has won numerous awards as a cask conditioned beer, including three times gold winner at the Great British Beer Festival.

Cask. The Rake, London. Yellow colour with a white head. Fruity, grassy, hoppy and refreshing. Bitter finish. Nice and better then most lagers.

A good light hoppy ale from Harviestoun. A fantastic session ale. Lager yeast I assume and a great hoppy fruit balance. Great accompanyment for sports games in the summer. Had at cask at the Rake with Ang. Poured into standard pint glass .

Cask at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 15th Oct 09. Golden colour with a fresh European hop aroma. Lovely firm palate and strong flavour. Well balanced, malty enough but with a great dry finish. A really excellent lager.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Bright golden colour. Floral and hoppy aroma. Ale-like mouthfeel and carbonation (very different from the bottled version). Slight bitterness to finish off. Refreshing and highly enjoyable.

Cask handpull, The Star, Bath. Pale gold with no head but lacing well. Faint whiff of lychee aroma. Silky lychee and grapefruit background, some almond stoniness, closing biscuit, vanilla, spoon of peat. Delicate, unlagery and good. Just has me longing for the more full-on citrus and biscuit of a decent GA, which sort of defeats the object..
