Theis (3617), Denmark Jun 6, 2008 Cask at Charlies. Clear yellow - white head. Freshness, light malty, hay, straw, light sharpness, light hoppy, fruity. Soft nice freas and crisp beer. thewolf (5662), Kolding, Denmark Jun 5, 2008 Cask @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours lightly hazy golden with a nice, creamy, white head - good duration. Aroma has some rye, oranges, biscuits and light citric and earthy hops. Low carbonation - fine mouthfeel. Flavour is surprisingly fruity and light tart at the beginning. Turns soft and malty with a drying, burning spice and hops sensation. Perhaps it’s been on a bit too long? wyzzywyz22 (754), Wirral, Merseyside, England Jun 1, 2008 Cask, Geordies Byre, Ayr. Golden colour with a creamy white head. Citrus fruit aroma with some hop. Slips down smoothly. Favour is quite complex; sweetish grapefruit with notes of herb and spice. Dryish finish. Very refreshing and not really in the typical lager fashion - to its credit. Very good stuff. RichardGretton (3131), Leicestershire, England Jan 26, 2008 Cask@Derby Winter Beer Festival, 2008. Golden beer with a dry and fruity aroma. The flavour is fruity and lightly vinous. Overall a fairly average pale beer. doubelknv3 (559), Illinois, USA Dec 7, 2007 Tasting notes from 2003 harbury beer festival. This was my first cask lager. Hoppy aroma with some malt notes. Golden with thin white head. Fruiter than I expected. Dry finish. pilsnerrogge (1770), Finspång, Sweden Dec 4, 2007 Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm Golden with a small head. Aroma is cookie malt and hops. Long, citric hop bitterness with notes of apricot. FatPhil (3449), Espoo, Finland Dec 1, 2007 Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2006)
Golden, small head. Starts pleasant, citrusy and fruity. Alas something lagery takes over and makes it just a bit , erm, lagery. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 31, 2007 Cask at Guildford Arms, Edinburgh.
Deep golden colour. No head. Cigarette ashes in aroma and flavour. Very light odied. Fruity esters and dry hopiness.
