Beese (79), Watford, Hertfordshire, England Jul 20, 2007 Nice golden appearance with only a small amount of head. Lager-esque aroma, quite zesty and hoppy. Flavour was somewhere between a continental lager and a British golden ale, hoppy flavours as well as some citric ones. The slightest aftertaste of yeast-extract. Pretty good. Cask at Chelmsford Beer Festival. Reasonably tasty cask lager. Quite dark in colour considering. Malty underpinnings topped with flowery hops. Not bad. vadersnightcap (80), Scotland Jun 7, 2007 reslly interested in the whole cask lager concept. never tried anything like this before. It was a very pleasant surprise from a cracking brewery.
golden orange colour with a small rocky head.
Continental pilsener aroma with hops, citrus fruits and a tiny sulphery quality coming through.
Nice full body, flavours benefit from the light carbonation.
Nice crisp clean slightly bitter finish.
Will try the bottled version soon too.
