Commercial Description:
Cask: Regular. The bottled version has a separate listing.
Brewed with lager malt and Hersbrücker and Challenger hops. Fermented with a lager yeast, but treated in every other way as a cask ale, save for a week or two of cool conditioning prior to release.
Named after the misty mountain near Pitlochry. Has won numerous awards as a cask conditioned beer, including three times gold winner at the Great British Beer Festival.

Cask at GBBF 2006. An orange beer with a thick white head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite strong flowery notes. The flavor is sweet with a very nice note of flowers.

Nice clean golden colour, with a hoppy aroma and a full sharp fruityness with a little hop bitter

Pintl on cask at Oliver Twist in Stockholm. Appealing flourish aroma shines through from this golden brown brew with its small white head. Hoppy taste with moderate hints of grapefruit. A bit watery palate, but otherwise well balanced (02.12.2006).

1/2 pint cask, Teuchers, Edinburgh. Served in a glass similar to a stange. Nice average creamy white head. Gentle fruity and citrusy aroma. Smooth mouthfeel with a distinct crisp and bitter hops. Very nice hop balance. Head clings to the glass. A bit more effervecent than other cask-beers I’ve had, which is nice for a change. Smooth, but bitter finish.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 4 Aug) Colour is golden yellow, with hints of amber, foamy white head. Nose is fruity with lemon and grapefruit. Hints of smoke? Taste is fruity with pineapple, lemon and a slightly soapy, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Nice and tasty.
