Commercial Description:
Cask: Regular. The bottled version has a separate listing.
Brewed with lager malt and Hersbrücker and Challenger hops. Fermented with a lager yeast, but treated in every other way as a cask ale, save for a week or two of cool conditioning prior to release.
Named after the misty mountain near Pitlochry. Has won numerous awards as a cask conditioned beer, including three times gold winner at the Great British Beer Festival.

Cask : Woodcote Steam/Beer festival, Oxfordshire. Citrus flavours underly a smooth, calm lager with a light hop aroma. It has a comlex body to it if you look, or it can be a nice swilling beer, easy to drink.

From cask at the Halfway House. Pours clear yellow with a dense creamy white head. Light malty and fruity hops aroma. Flavour starts mild sweet with a nice fruity hops note. Light malty note with a mild bitterness coming through. Smooth fruity finish. Nice, easy and quite lovely.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 4 Aug) Colour is golden yellow, with hints of amber, foamy white head. Nose is fruity with lemon and grapefruit. Hints of smoke? Taste is fruity with pineapple, lemon and a slightly soapy, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Nice and tasty.

reslly interested in the whole cask lager concept. never tried anything like this before. It was a very pleasant surprise from a cracking brewery. golden orange colour with a small rocky head. Continental pilsener aroma with hops, citrus fruits and a tiny sulphery quality coming through. Nice full body, flavours benefit from the light carbonation. Nice crisp clean slightly bitter finish. Will try the bottled version soon too.

Cask at the Green Man, Stamford. One of the best pale lagers I’ve had, my enjoyment of this was not spoiled by the know-it-all at the bar (punter, not staff) who took pleasure in telling me how this was "like a lager" but that I shouldn’t expect it to be cold and fizzy. It tastes of sweet fruits with a hint of citrus rind and spice.
