4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 omhper (15964) - Stockholm, - MAY 7, 2004
Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm.
Pale golden, slightly hazy, rich head. Rich aroma of citrus and hay. Dry and light bodied with soft and light mouthfeel. Hoppy finish with good bitterness. Thirst quenching. Another to top effort from the Dollar brewery.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - JAN 5, 2012
Tasted this at the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in May 2006. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear pale golden straw in colour with a thin white head. Very aromatic with strong floral hop notes long in intensity. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with tart lemon zest present. Strong grassy hop resins impart a floral note in the aftertaste. Finish is citrusy with pithy dryness. An ok session Golden Ale but not for me.

Aroma is a bit minimal but what is there is a bit like minty lemon. Tast is better a bit minimal, perhaps past its best, but bitter and grasssy.

NOt very interesting, too bitter for me. A lot of people say the flavour of this brewery’s products have gone.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2006
Cask conditinoed @ Standing Order(JDW), Soton. Pale colour. Grainy malts and initially aggresive citric hops which fade quickly to leave the thin malt. Perhaps slightly past its best.

Cask@Reading BF. An average, easy to drink ale. Some light hop aromatics. Quite malty and sweet, with some citrus in the finish. Easy to drink.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 ConfusedDave (2) - SCOTLAND - MAY 16, 2005 does not count
Lovely fruity, crisp beer for a hot day after a long walk.
Needs to be cooler than most cask ales
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2005
Cask at Reading Beer Festival. Normally I like Harviestoun beers, but this one was disappointing. Mid gold colour, but thin in mouth, not a lot of nose and little overall flavour.
