The Mid Atlantic Ridge is where two tectonic plates meet at almost the midpoint between America and Scotland. With this Geological symmetry in mind, we’ve created a union between American amarillo and British hops to produce a distinctive US style ale with Scottish origins, quaffable with a seismic depth of flavour.
Hops East Kent Goldings, Fuggles, Apollo, Amarillo
Malts Wheat malt, lager malt

Drunk from 50cl bottle given by parents from their Scotland trip. Enjoyable bitter pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle pours clear gold with a poor, fast dissipating head. Vegetal, farty nose, smells like an English bitter. Nice sweet bitter thing going on on the taste. Quite a big hop presence but are they new world hops? Does not really taste that way. Well balanced, well constructed beer but it does not excite me.

Pours a slightly copper-ish yellow with a tidy, thick, white head which soon recedes to a foamy layer. Aroma is laden with sprucey/piney hops and a hint of citrus. Taste is piney, slight citrus, medium bitterness and much refreshment. Great pale.

Belle robe.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2015 From a 50 cl bottle in Edinburgh. Bright gold-amber with a decent head. Too earthy (flavor), as hinted at by the aroma. Flavor is a bit stronger than average for style. Hops build into the finish and linger on in the moderately bitter aftertaste. Medium body and near medium carbonation.

Bottle from Sake Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Piney nose, and an unusual hop mix, smells like boozy chocolate drink, light grass. Clear deep orangeish/gold color, very little head, slick. Ripe dates, harsh hopping, some citrus fruit, and light burnt or phenolic note in finish. Thin-medium body. Maybe this one didn’t travel well. Really doesn’t come together. A disappointment from this brewery.
