The Mid Atlantic Ridge is where two tectonic plates meet at almost the midpoint between America and Scotland. With this Geological symmetry in mind, we’ve created a union between American amarillo and British hops to produce a distinctive US style ale with Scottish origins, quaffable with a seismic depth of flavour.
Hops East Kent Goldings, Fuggles, Apollo, Amarillo
Malts Wheat malt, lager malt

Bottle. Bought at Tesco, St. Andrews. Sometimes it is not necessarily a good idea to mix -- in this case aggressive American hops with more aromatic British. In this case it has produced a somewhat bland pale ale. OK but not more than that.

Bottle 33cl. Clear medium golden, small frothy white head, diminishing slowly, good lacing; light fruity nose, pale malt, grapefruit, bit dusky, hay; taste medium sweet and bitter, plae malt, citrus; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste light bittersweet, dusky and spicy notes; overall ok though on the mild side for an APA.

Clear pale gold, small white head that qiickly disappeared. Hoppy with a strong pine aroma. Taste is overwhelmed by an oily pine bitter finish.

September 20, 2014 (I won’t say where) - keg. Pale gold with a creamy off-white head. Simple aroma - moderate alcohol, but mostly fairly lush grain and fresh funky acidic UK herbal/floral hop bitterness, some pine; light. Taste follows, has a real lager-y heather character trying to assert itself; sweet and "green" - big hops, but very fresh, and funky. Slick mouthfeel, average body, fairly astringent and carbonated - slightly longer than medium-length finish; some west coast grapefruit pith comes out in the linger; pretty solid, if light.
