Bottle filtered and pasteurised.
An underlying background of earthy English hops are overlaid by the citrus and spicy aromas produced from the Citra and Simcoe hops, that combine to produce a wildly aromatic, refreshing golden ale.

500ml bottle shared with a mate during a random beer tasting evening on 15 Feb 2013. As the name suggests this is a golden brew with hops ruling the flavours. Looked fine, clear and bright in both half pint glasses, each with a small white covering of bubbles. The actual hop content gives a fairly strong citrus feel throughout: something I’m not too keen on. There are far too many golden citrus flavoured beers on the UK market although to be fair this is one of the better that I’ve tasted.

Pours a dark gold colour with a thin white head, plenty of fruit and hops in the aroma, the taste is bitter with fruit and hops with a dry bitter finish.

Delightfully smooth, hop balance just right against the citrus and low carbonation makes for both session(4.4%) and broad range of food matching .

Bottle. Golden brown with white head that laces well. Aroma is strong grapefruit ,pine and mown grass. Taste is very hoppy slightly astringent at the finish which spoils it for me.

500ml bottle. Clear yellow gold colour, thin white head and citrus hop aroma. Sharp initial bitterness with light malt, citrus hop, grapefruit, lemon, and a lingering dry back of the throat bitterness. Light bodied, smooth, refreshing, quite drinkable

It didn’t quite have the assertive hop notes i the aroma from Simcoe and Citra that I would have liked, instead it was a really pleasant, hoppy enough sessionable (4.4%) beer, with a good biscuity smooth malt character holding up against the citrus notes. It was a great accompaniment to some American-style pulled pork & sweet potatoes with a hint of chilli.

500ml bottle. Pours light golden with a moderate head that dissipates to a light, lasting whisp. Hoppy and herbal aroma. Light honey to begin leading to plenty of sharp citrus hops and moderate but long bitter finish. Really pretty nice, I’ll be having this again.

Bottle, pours a slightly cloudy pale amber with small head. Aroma is mildly of hops, also citrus and hay-like notes. Taste is pleasantly hoppy with some lime and balanced bitter finish. Worth trying.
