3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The Plough, Macclesfield. Golden with a thick white head. Nice hoppy aroma. Flavour has lemon cake in, I love lemon cake. Not bad.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Bow Bar. Clear, surprisingly dark amber, frothy white head. Nice tropical fruits on the nose, touch of apricot, pineapple, pink grapefruit. Soft bready malts, juicy grapefruit, touch of peach. Nice lingering bitterness. I’d very much question whether it’s an IPA at 3.9%, but certainly a tasty hoppy pale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a different beer from the one issued last year. Different style & lower ABV. Cask @ The Bon Accord & Crystal Palace JDW. Golden amber colour, good head. Grainy hop aroma. Dry biscuit & citrus fruit flavour, bitter aftertaste. Another good golden ale from Harviestoun.

3.9% cask at Cloisters. Pours a blonde colour with a thick white head. Resinous hop aroma of pine, caramel and barley. Similar flavours. A little bitter green hop character. Dry finish with a little oily mouth-feel and mild carbonation. Nice pine and caramel linger.
