3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2013 500ml bottle. Pale golden colour with a small white head and plenty of lacing on the glass. A grapefruity and grassy hoppy aroma and a deep flavour with creamy malt backbone that is appealing.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Bronze with a small head.Hoppy and quite bitter. Some fruitiness as well. Pleasant but I found the really bitter finish a bit off putting. Not as good as I expected.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle. Crystal clear gold in colour with a thick white foam head. Aromatic floral hop fragrance which is long in intensity. Zesty, resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives full juicy tropical fruit notes of sweet lychees and kiwi. More tart elemnts come in with citrusy tangerine and pink grapefruit evident. Good smack of citric hop resins in the dusty aftertaste give good counterweight to the fruity malt element. Finish is malty with a dry grapefruit peel and notes of golden syrup in the mouth. A decent Blond Ale and worth trying.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, 500ml from Sainsbury’s, Banbury. Gold with white head. The blurb for this is somewhat ambitious, I wonder if they forgot to load them all in on this batch? This was a fairly restrained, lemony, light fruity beer with a metallic edged boiled malt note. Drinkable but not what it says on the bottle.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Not particularly hoppy or wild, well maybe by Harviestoun standards. Enjoyable beer but doesn’t have a big enough hop flavour to a good IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A clear yellow ale with a slim fine light head. Aroma of floral notes, and citrus elements. Taste is a pleasant balance initiated by hops and fine bitter finish. A rather fine ale that I’d look for again

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle from Sainsburys:
Strong hops to being and definitely noticeable floral notes along with a little bit of citrus in the mix too. There is some very light bitterness and grapefruit. The drink finishes with a little bit of spice and some light grassy notes.
Light golden colour with a pinky sized, bubbly white head that settles down to a foamy lacing after a few minutes and remains that way throughout.
Strong hops and floral presence and a background grass and citrus taste with plenty of bitterness coming through as well. There is some background malts as well and some biscuit but the hops dominate along with the bitterness towards the end.
Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a lot of bitterness throughout, particularly towards the end of the drink. The beer is quite crisp and clean as well as having good balance into the bargain.
A nice English IPA with a gentle nod to the American style of brewing but nothing to full on. Very drrinkable and quite enjoyable as well, it’s a beer I wouldn’t say no to trying again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 500 ml. Pours clear and golden with a small white head. Nice hoppy smell with some flowers and some bitter. Not very strong aroma thought.
Nice dry and bitter flavour er with grapefruit and grassy notes. Ends with a clean dryness from the hops. Light to medium body, crisp and refreshing with low but acceptable carbonation. Above average but not extremely exciting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Golden with a thin head. Aromas are grain with pithy grapefruit and hints of pineapple. Low pine with floral notes and spices. Flavours are biscuit and cereal with sweet pineapple and bitter grapefruit. Some resinous pine and lemon marmalade with lightly nutty lager characteristics. Pretty good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Sainsburys
Amber colour, frothy white head that dissipates and a bit of lacing. Aroma is of light sweet pale malts, and some citrus light orangey hop. Quite mild rather than wild on the nose. Taste of sweet caramel pale malts, bit resinous, fairly bitter hops. The malts are quite dominant here with slightly astringent bitter hop placed against them. Fairly simple in flavour, more bitter than fruity with the hops, more sweet with the malts. Medium body with a slightly oily texture. Finish as main flavour with a lingering bit astringent bitter tail
Overall - It’s ok - the hops are not wild and they are more bitter than fruity. It’s OK but I won’t be rushing out to buy it again
