Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Hazy pale golden yellow colour, not much head. Vegetable resin aroma. Cereal grain resin flavour, very dry citrus aftertaste. Not really a proper IPA. Somewhere between a blonde beer & English Pale Ale.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s, drunk on 2 December 2011. Best before Dec 2012. Bright gold colour. Generous white head. Good condition - lively but not too fizzy. Plenty of hops in the aroma - grapefruit in the forefront. Maybe a touch of bubblegum. Firm mouthfeel. Strong tangy hops culminating in a quite pronounced bitterness on the palate. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Strong lemon and grapefruit flavours give this a distinct, bitter character. Puckering stuff.

Something’s not quite right here - huge cat piss aroma and flavour but not really much else. The flavour overwhelms and leaves me feeling weird.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 shoulderbroken (587) - Tokyo, JAPAN - OCT 3, 2011
Bottle from Sainsburys. Very clear yellow with a bubbly white head. Aroma is citrussy, peppery and slightly herbal. Little bit of cream soda about the smell too. Taste is a bit plain but quite nice bitterness. Bitterness lingers a little while in the mouth. Feels maybe a bit gassy, but doesn’t seem to be very highly carbonated. Quite like it, but wouldn’t necessarily have it again.
2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 Scottrf (103) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2011
Pale amber, decent long head with lacing, thin bubbles.
Grassy, citrus aroma.
Hoppy hit from the start, very grassy, consistent to aftertaste.
Good carbonation, thin-medium body.
Needs more balance and variety, hops don’t allow flavour through.
