Nov 11, 2006 (bottle, with thanks to pivnizub) Clear, dark amber colour with a short beige foam. Slightly dusty, sweet toast-malty nose with caramel and liquorice. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark-malty, slightly roasted taste with chocolate; medium-dry finish with a balanced roasted and hoppy bitterness.

Nov 3, 2006 Bottle: Deep amber coloured, quickly vanishing fluffy head; sweet dark-malty nose, faint aroma of liquorice and toasted malt, some fruitiness detectable; moderate sweet (malty) flavour, light to medium bodied, soft MF; sweet-malty and fruity (ripe berries) finish with a well hidden chocolatey bitterness. All in all a pleasant brew, even though it is a bit on the sweet side........
