johndoughty (1692), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Jul 14, 2007 Golden and clear. Slightly carbonated and left no lacing. Malty with a pleasant gentle aftertaste. Nice. JorisPPattyn (4642), Antwerpen, Belgium Aug 11, 2007 Slightly dark gold, clear; thick, yellowish head. Fresh greenery & grassy nose, spring leaves, and grain dust. Very much on the verge of bitter (first), then sweet, very malty. A bit of oxydation at the end. Despite the high restsugar content, reasonably refreshing. Rather well-bodied. Sweet, but not without its merits. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 12, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear, pilsener golden with a thin, white head. The nose is clean and very malty. Body comes medium again with clean and sweet malt accents while the bitterness is very subdued. This is a very delicious Ferstbier positioned somewhere in the borderland to a Heller Bock. 090807 weepingsuds (222), Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA Jun 27, 2005 Bottle. Nice head and pour. Decent carbonation. A bit hoppy with an oversweet tone that hints of carmel and molasis, not a great standout, but worthy of a try. raymondwave (808), Finland Mar 25, 2007 If I had to describe this with one word, I would say round. I’m not completely sure how to describe it otherwise, very deep, damp, dark and dense flavour of hops (?), yet not at all bitter. A little sweet. Smells like a stack of hay. Very tasty, I like it. Would propably go nicely with a dish of lamb.
