Bottle: Pale golden, cloudy, quickly collapsing white fluffy head, sweetish grainy nose with a cardboardy touch; relatively sweet flavour, light bodied and a bit fizzy; sweetish-grainy-yeasty finish, balanced by a delicate tartness, not by a bitterness. Yawn…

Half litre bottle, poured into pint glass. Pale golden colour, transparent but hazy, one finger fading head, very good lacing retention. Aroma was cork, hay, slight yeast and nutty but not overly pronounced. Tasted fairly sharp, notes of mushroom, cherry, rubber. Bitterness came in at the finish along with some sour dough. Thin texture, well carbonated, coarse. I would place this in with the Zwickels rather than the Kellerbiers as it’s characteristics remind me of the Upper Franconian Zwickels. Not overly exciting but well made and did the job.

Pours cloudy yellow with a small creamy white head. Grassy and grainy nose and flavor with a bit of breadcrust. Taste smooth.

It’s hazy/unclear golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt, bread, fresh grain and flower. The flavor has a light sweetness and is soft and pleasant with notes of bread, fresh grain, flowers and a touch of fruit, and the finish is fairly dry. Lovely landbier...

bottle from pivnizub! Cloudy pale yellow, mid-sized white head. Yeasty nose. Medium-bodied with pleasant carbonation. Good malty flavours with quite some yeast detectable, pleasantly hoppy in the finish. Well balanced beer, nothing wrong here. I enjoyed it!

(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a mid-sized minimally off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty and doughy malty aroma with grainy accents, accompanied by notes of grassy hops. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a little fizz. Yeasty and delicately grainy pale malt-character with grassy hops in the background; sweet and slightly bitter hoppy finish, again with grassy notes. Clean but rather unexciting. 01.II.13

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2013 Milky brown colour with steady head. Taste of nuts, dark grains, roast aromas, cereals and pumpernickel. Easy to drink and refrshing but I missed some deepness.

Bottle found at local dursty and shared with hubby. Milky brown-amber in colour with steady but low head and medium body. Taste of ripe chestnuts, malt, hops and caramel. Very easy to drink and quite nice as well. Guess, if I wouldn’t have drunk like 10 Kellerbiere in a row, it would have got a better score....

Pours clear golden color with a small head. Aroma of grass, grain, malts and hay, some toffee notes also. Flavour of hay, caramel, malts, earth and wet leaves. Decent.
