330ml Bottle - Golden/light amber with a foamy head. Apples, honey, syrup and grain in the aroma. Apple juice, yoghurt, grain, honey and grass can all be detected in the moderately sweet taste.

Pours unclear, warm blonde. Small but steady white head. Smell is weak. It has a hint of swwetness, some apple if you use your imagination. Taste is bitter, with a sweet undertone. Some natural applejuicy taste, very clearly, but it lives besides the bitterness from the beer instead of blending in. Not as balanced or complex as I’d liked it to be..

Bottle 33cl. Cloudy medium amber, many floating yeast particles, small but stable frothy white head, good sticky lacing; sweet malty aroma, apple, candy sugar, caramel, coriander; taste heavy sweet, slightly sour, a tad bitter, apple; medium to full body, oily to creamy texture, lively carbonation, fruity sweet and sugary aftertaste, bitter malty notes, bit spicy, alcohol; strange tripel, somewhat unbalanced, all in all too sugary.

Alone at home. Clear goldblond colored beer with large diminishing white head and lots of carbonation. Hopped though fruited aroma. Full creamed sparkling palate with some sweet hints. Finish is fruited bitter nicely balanced and some alcoholic hints.

Bouteille 33cl de HopDuvel, huge gusher, lost 1/2 on the table. BB 28/03/2015.

Orange hauy nearly opal coloured with a massive large slowly white head. On the nose aromas of herbs, ripe apples and barnyard occur with a tendency to distilled alcohol/overripe apples. With a light fizzy a sweet applecake taste develops with a slick texture and a full body. The finish is lasting and somewhat alcohol focused.

13/II/14 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: 28/III/15 (2014-192)

Clear orange beer, lots and lots of very small chunks floating through the glass giving it a cloudy appearance, huge fizzy dense white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very sweet and sugary, some caramel, sweet malts, ripe banana. MF: way too much carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet in the start, sugary, fruity notes, sour touch, quite some orange peel, little spicy. Aftertaste: some apple sauce, bit metallic, hoppy touch, chemical unpleasant bitterness, sugar and banana remaining as a bad memory after swallowing.
