Für den Fürsten im Mann. Wir schreiben das Jahr 1899. Wernigerode in einer Zeit vor unserer Zeit. Da entstand ein Bier, das die Hasseröder Brauerei mit Genehmigung des Fürsten von Wernigerode braute – für den Fürsten und seine Gäste: das Hasseröder Fürstenbräu Granat. Granatrot, vollmundig und röstaromatisch mit 5,8% vol. Zum 140-jährigen Jubiläum der Hasseröder Brauerei servieren wir unseren Fans ein Bier, dessen Geschichte eng mit der unserer Brauerei verbunden ist. Denn mit Hasseröder Fürstenbräu Granat haben wir eine Bierspezialität nach Tradition des Fürsten von Wernigerode gebraut. Mit historischem Etikett – dem unlöschbaren Durst gewidmet.

bottle, thank you kappldav! Amber colour, mid-sized head. Malty start with a nice touch of caramel, very slightly fruity (berries) and with hints of darker malts. Hoppy touch in the finish. Again, much better thank expected.

Draught at Achim’s Beck’shaus, Bremen. Clear reddish brown with a medium off-white head. Medium body with light to moderate carbonation. Sweet with bitter tones. Roasted malts, red and dark fruits, herbs, hops and caramel. A decent German brew.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Heavy burned caramel in the nose. Fairly rich body, very solid caramellish malt base with a metallic edge. Ends dry but hardly hoppy. Classic Märzen. 130612

[ Courtesy of Flaskedrengen ]. Clear medium orange amber colour with a average to small large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, caramelized malt. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate ot oheavy bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, caramel, caramelized malt - sugar - caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120613]

Bottle, 5.8%. Lagery aroma, sweetish malty. Clear copper colour. Good stable off-white head. The flavour is quite malty and sweetish with a very caramelly note. A sourish hint balances off the caramel and gives a well-balanced beer.

Nice and tasty...

(bottle) pours a clear copper-amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of bread dough, sweet cherries, herbal hops, sweet spices and a hint of earth. flavour is mostly the same, roasted malts, earth and herbal hops, the fruitiness is quite subdued. medium-bodied with average carbonation.
