Commercial Description:
The Hatuey brand originated in Cuba and was owned by the Bacardi family. When the Communists nationalized the brewery, the brand essentially split. While the Bacardis own the brand for the global market and produce it under contract, the Cuban government still operates a brewery in Santiago to produce this as a local (peso) beer for the Oriente.

I remember having this at a bar where you had to drink every beer to get your name on the wall. I just had it out of the bottle, but it was barley drinkable. Flavors of old garbage dried to a chalky vegetale finish. Evil Empire indeed.

(Bottle) Shared at the PNW Christmas 2006 party at Oakes on December 9th. Nice appearance. Hoppy banana/cantaloupe. A very tinny tonic.

This commy offering deserves little speak. Sour in all regards with a tough smelly odor. Ouch, my mouth needs cleaning.

Light amber color. Crappy crab apples, adjunct hell nose. Sour, crab apples, dirty mouth. Hell, fuck, shit. WOW, I am surprised, I am fairly generous.
