2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours brown orange. There is a soapy smell that I can’t shake off as I sip the sampler. Not really bitter or hoppy. I wanted it to taste better then it I
is. Great name though.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Decent enough citrus note with a slight sweetness, some tangerine, grapefruit, and a slight undertone of diacetyl. A decent bready note and some mild caramel. There are lots of floral hops along with bitter pine and citrus peel. Heavy on the tangerine and grapefruit. Very oily and fairly bitter. Light diacetyl on the palate as well. Would be good if not for the butter.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a hazed, hop particle saturated golden-orange hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are tangy, citrusy, grapefruit pith, resin, mild crystal malt, crackery (almost munich like), with some lasting esters. Citrus and resin character very reminiscent of Cascade and Centennial. Flavors are malty, lightly nutty with a pretty bitter hop balance. Citrus and resin. Taste quite big and quite bitter for anything calling itself a Pale Ale. Grapefruit, kind of sticky. Moderate bubbles, warming, medium dry. Specialty malt character makes this a bit oppressive and sticky. I wish this were a bit drier, crisper and smaller to let the hops shine through a bit more (and make it more of an APA in its drinkability).
