[Tap] Had at a restaurant on Kauai in mid-September. Pours a clear, light golden color with a thin and fizzy head. Dusty and sweet aroma of light grass and pale malts. Dinner rolls, mild lemon and vegetal notes throughout the taste. Thin mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea, but the fact I was right on the beach made it go down a bit easier.

Tap @ Hang Ten at Turtle Bay... Poured golden, amber/orange with a white head. Crisp, easy drinking with a soft palate. Lots of grains and cereal flavors with a light apricot and citrus fruitiness. Mild hop floralness with a lingering malt finish.

Out of the bottle on the beach. I thought this was very flavorful for the style, light in body but not watery, making it great for the occasion. Aroma was somewhat fruity, a touch of apricot and pineapple. Flavor has floral hops creating a nice, light bitterness while there is a note of lemon and other fruit on the finish. Nothing really complex, but very good for a lighter ale.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2011 Bottle shared at the "AK to the HB" tasting on 12/30/10: The beer is a clear golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Bready malt and citrus and the nose. Light body with flavors of sweet malt and grain as well as a touch of fruit. The finish is malty and short. Average overall.

I had this on draft at the brewery as well as other places on the Big Island, and in bottles. Its a very enjoyable and refreshing beer with nice aroma and flavor. Its not a complex beer, but it is very drinkable. Not a very high ABV, so you can drink several while enjoying the beach or watching the sunset.

Nice clear golden brew with a thick, white cap. Leaves a messy messy glass! The nose is well off from appealing. Very malty, a bit of strong grass but seems like lactose... ick. This just smells wrong. There are hops. Light hops in the flavour with lots of grains, a bit drying , bready malts, maybe the lightest of caramel. This comes across a touch watery but the soft malts work well with the light hops. Goes back ok but is a touch oily when warmer. Yawn.
