A handcrafted blend of pale and crystal malts which gives the deep copper colour that is complimented by the thick creamy head. A pleasure to drink.

Really only a glorified nz draught. Lovely clarity, no head. Slight honey texture but pretty innocuous

Pretty average for a craft beer. Tasted like tui. Would not want to have it cold. Drinkable but nothing of note

What a disappointment! Being a Hawke’s Bay local I was expecting good things from this "handcrafted beer". It wasn’t even on par with plain old boxed beer. I tried 4x 500ml varieties and same result, very reminiscent of my first or second batches of just acceptable home brew. Come on HBIB you can do better than this!

Tried onsite so review will be short. The only beer of their range that has a hint of flavour. Pale red, filtered thin body. Slight caramel aroma and taste. The best of the range but very bland. For the price you have to pay; avoid

Keg - The Mousetrap, Taupo. An effervescent dark amber with a small, mostly lasting foamy white head. Mid-fruits, grain and caramel on the nose. Flavours of biscuit, bread dough and grain. Light to medium body, lively full carbonation and a short, subtly fruity, malty finish. Fair enough as a freebie for completing a skydive earlier in the day.

Draft at the Londoner courtesy of nate2g, thank you!. Clear dark amber brown color, tan head. Aroma of burnt caramel on toast. Taste is similar. Nicely hopped.

Light amber colour. Aroma is full of caramel. Taste is similar, with lots of earthy goldingesque hops.

Pours copper, no head. Not much on the nose. Soft, malty palette. Short finish, with a hint of caramel. Boring.

Pours copper with off white head. Aroma of fruit, sweet floral hops. Taste is bitter with sweet malty tones, well rounded medium bodies. Caramel aftertaste.

Pours dark amber with a small fading head. Nose shows caramel with very soft spicy notes in the background. Very faint aroma. Flavours are very similar; caramel and soft bready malt, along with a little honey. Could use more carbonation. Pretty devoid of hops seeing as they call this an American amber ale.
