M0RHI (1041), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Nov 20, 2007 Cask, Alloa Beer Festival 07. Hoppy lively and some bitter aroma. Hout is slightly medicinal orange, flat maltiness, bit flimsy on the body, but it finishes bittersweet and holds well. Bit nondescript, with a touch of spice. Mid to dark brown colour and very malty. Dry slightly bitter finish. chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Sep 27, 2004 After a run of stouts and porters, this beer, not surprisingly, came over as a much more commonplace effort. As the programme suggested, there’s a distinct reddish tinge to the colour. It’s a malty, rather than hoppy, best bitter, but the malt is dry and the overall impression is of a well balanced beer. Decent stuff. Cask (gravity dispense), Ipswich Beer Festival.
SilkTork (3950), Rochester, Kent, England Sep 16, 2004 Bright bottled at Chappel Fest. An Irish Red sort of bitter. Red tones. Dark, roasty with a pleasant damp and autumnal sweetness.
