3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A pale, floral bitter with a fair amount of hoppyness giving quite a citrus aroma and taste. So many of these type of beers are very similar,so does this one stand out from the crowd?. Just about. It,s certainly pleasant enough and goes down quite well on a warm day.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask at the Brook House Inn, Boot, Cumbria. Pale amber with a moderate white head. Biscuit and caramel with a little vomit upfront which is somewhat redeemed by a leafy bitterness afterwards. Not one of my favourites though.

cask, various. As session beers go, this is right up there. Tangy bitter, with loads of sharp orange zestiness, loads of mouthfeel, great body and carbonation and a long sharp finish. Hawkshead - the jewel in Cumbria’s crown.
