COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, keg & bottle; Regular.

A dry oatmeal stout, named after that enduring feature of the Lake District landscape, the dry stone wall and the skilled craftsmen who build them. Aromas of chocolate and coffee, complex rich deep flavours from a blend of 7 malts, moderate bitterness and a long dry finish make Dry Stone Stout a satisfying and warming black beer.

Keg at Brewdog Clerkenwell, as ’Hawkshead Dry Stone Stout’, 4.5%. Black with a small foamy brown head. Aroma is molasses, sweet malt, light smoke. Body is light, fizzy, a bit foamy. Taste is thin malt, some roast washed out by carbonation, tonic water, light floral notes, some sugar, smoke. Death by keg, but it’s still OK.
