3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
On cask at the Beer Hall.
Appearance - hazy golden with a proportionate head.
Nose - elderflowers and a general herby feel. The main aromas are citrus.
Taste - more citrus and herbs.
Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a balanced finish.
Overall - the beer of the day which is unusual as it’s not one of my preferred styles.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask @ The Font, Manchester. Pours clear gold with thin white head. Unfortunately this was just way too warm, had a sweet gooey banana aroma with overripe bananas, sugar and dough in the taste. Served at the right temperature I’m sure this would’ve got a higher rating but this time it was too offputting. Will re-rate if I see it again.
