This 7% IPA is brewed with loads of American and New Zealand hops, it has an amazingly fruity aroma and flavour (without the bitterness you may expect for such a heavily hopped beer) and is backed up with a biscuity malt base.

some beers are great in cask or keg, few make the transition to bottle without losing something. Having tried this in both formats, both rock.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2015 Keg at The Knott Bar, Manchester. A slightly hazy pale amber colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of orange, melon, subtle toffee, some berries and pine. Taste of orange peel, grapefruit, melon, some caramel, some resin and honey. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A citrusy bitterness with some sweetness. A balanced IPA with citrusy and malty flavours. Average overall but good bitterness and sweetness......................................... Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear pale amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, subtle pine, melon, some peach and slight caramel. Taste is similar of grapefruit, orange, melon, slight caramel, resin and some honey. Full bodied and soft carbonation. A lingering, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. Much more resinous and fuller bodied on cask, still very balanced though.

Bottle Rheged, Penrith. Pours a hazy amber with a foaming white head. Has a big melon and peach aroma, soft sweet honeyed palate that is so smooth it belies the 7pc ABV. There’s a bit of aniseed in the finish to give some bite. Great stuff

On tap at What’s Brewing. It’s an unclear, orange colored beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is fruity and piney, with some pale malts and citrus zest. It has a nice bitterness, with flavors of fresh fruits and pine cones. Citrus zest too. Dry, medium to full-bodied and with a lasting bitter finish. Long bitter finish. Nothing wrong with this one, except it fails to thrill me. Drinks easily though. 141101
