This 7% IPA is brewed with loads of American and New Zealand hops, it has an amazingly fruity aroma and flavour (without the bitterness you may expect for such a heavily hopped beer) and is backed up with a biscuity malt base.

330 ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.

Looks: Translucent straw amber colour with a thin ring of yeast sediments; Less than one-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 15 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with very slight carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant rich Ale malt, with strong citrus, lime, tropical fruits, strong honey, floral, caramel, sugar, strong resins, lemon and light grass.

Taste: Mid to strong sweet Ale malt, with strong grapefruits, caramel, strong floral, sugar, pine, resins, dry biscuits, light yeast, lime, strong bitter hops and fresh grass.

Body: Close to light body. Watery and oozy palate.

Mouth Feel: Good Ale maltyness in a thin and watery background. Strong grapefruit and lime dominates, backed by adequate caramel and strong floral. Dry with strong sweetness, well countered by pretty strong resin ooze and fresh grassy hops. Lemon to round. Pretty good.

Hoppiness: Strong citrus, lime, tropical fruits, floral, strong resins, lemon and light grass in nose. Strong grapefruits, strong floral, pine, resins, lime and fresh grass in taste; Bitterness is mid to strong for a lasting, quite high astringent sweet bitter finish.

After Taste: Quite Dry. Limey, oozy and bitter to mouth.

Comments: Just like its NZPA, this one is also has a thinned watery body which dampens the feel-good limey oozy hoppiness, plus an above average citrusy Motueka aroma. Nice to have, but again, (1) not worth the price and (2) I rather have a real NZ IPA instead.

A typical hoppy IPA brewed with American and NZ hops and English malts. It pours hazy orange with a dense cream head. Nose is floral, citrus and tropical fruits. Medium bodied when sipped, strong fruity hoppy character well balanced by a good malty backbone. Tasty treat!
