COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised bottle.
Golden Ale. Hoppy and uncompromisingly bitter with complex fruit flavours from the blending of a modern English hop, First Gold, with the outrageously fruity American hop, Cascade. A hopheads’ beer... with balance. A real beer drinkers beer.

Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml. Gold colour with big white head, some carbonation. Nicely pleasant golden beer, fully flavoured with a touch of peach, rich malt and a dry fragrant hop. A very pleasant bottled English beer, bought in Booths, Ulverston.

Woo Hoo! My 400th! This has a bit more colour than I expected for a golden ale, but is still very attractive, with its tight white head. It has a distinctive hoppy nose, and a slightly sweet palate, which has a pleasant fruity acidity on the finish. Perhaps not a classic golden ale but well balanced and very quaffable. Booths Keswick.

Nice fruity/floral hops aroma, oily and citrusy, pine. Most hoppy aroma I’ve smelled since leaving the US. Malts, too, sweet and crisp. Hazy medium amber-orange with foamy white lacing head. Medium watery body with light carbonation, very smooth. Starts a bit acidic with a little sweetness. Malts with taste of tea, Twizzlers, and some sugar. Acidity lessens, and more pronounced bitterness and hoppy astringency comes in to finish. The after has a medium bitter edge to it, with light malty sweetness left over. Nice beer.

Orange color, frothy head. Hoppy aroma with orange ans scotch whisky. Very hoppy flavor with licorice and a hint of alcohol (like a malt whisky). Slightly smoky. Lingering harsh bitter aftertaste. Quality beer with a very outspoken flavor.

rauchbier (3588) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - AUG 1, 2003
Bottled. Amber colour, moderate thin white head and good condition. Some caramel and lots of fruity and pine resin hop aromas. In the mouth it starts sweet with some maltiness but a hop flavour kicks in and turns bitter into the finish. Unfortunately, bitterness dominates the end and becomes harsh.
