3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Woo Hoo! My 400th!
This has a bit more colour than I expected for a golden ale, but is still very attractive, with its tight white head. It has a distinctive hoppy nose, and a slightly sweet palate, which has a pleasant fruity acidity on the finish. Perhaps not a classic golden ale but well balanced and very quaffable. Booths Keswick.

If you are into funny labels etc. then you never would buy a beer from this brewer. But luckily I did anyhow, because they make great beer. It’s a dark golden beer with a nice head and a floral, fruity aroma, that is very nice. The flavour matches the aroma and has some notes of roasted malt too and a really nice bitterness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle Traci brought back for me from her trip to Cumbria. Thanks baby! Warm copper pour, shiny buttercream colored head with good lace. Very pretty floral hops with a fresh citrus edge, just a hint of vanilla caramel below. Brisk grapefruit hop bitterness with a solid malt backbone. Light palate with just enough weight to be satisfying. Clean, bright and refreshing. In a blind tasting I’m not sure I could tell this from SNPA, and in my book that is high praise!
