Sweet syrupy, honey aroma from the hops with a hint of tropical. Ice cream / toffee tones. Clear golden with ever so slightly off-white head. Some unexpected and different flavours coming through, a citrussy, slightly sour, kiwi flavour (incidentally) with a sort of bitter soft finish. A good brew, easy drinking without too much inensity but enough character.

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Light golden with little head to it. Expected more of a hopped tropical fruit explosion than the crisp but mild pale ale that it is. Aroma is stronger and promises more than the small grapefruit led citric taste provides.

Not in good shape. Honey and cantaloupe and stale paper-y oxidized pale malt. Sour fruit rind, burnt pineapple, old peanuts, a kind of green mildew flavor and aroma. Medium body, lightly sweet with dull hop character and little carbonation to give life to what is there. From bottle.

Bottle from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours cloudy yellow gold with white head. Nose and taste of grapefruit peel, white sugar, pine, earth and grassy hops. Medium body.

Bottle during RBWG. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy grapefruit and pine with a grain backbone. Flavor has bitter grapefruit with light pine as well as a touch of light grain.

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Aroma is pine pot pourri crossed with a fresh flowery summer meadow.. lots of citrus & pine with a resinous aftertaste.. not too full on mind, but a very fresh juicy beer nonetheless.

Cask at Earl of Essex, Islington. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity with funky earthy veg. Medium body mild carbonation. It's fusty, grassy, a bit of melon, grapefruit, ash. Nice bitter finish. Slightly unusual, but tasty enough. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @home. Pours gold/amber and clear, light but steady carbo, looks like a lager, very little head. On the nose orange, perfume, its almost like a wine. apricot fruits come through, big citrus in general on the nose, also a little grapefruit. Big grapefruit bitterness on the palate, a little one note on the tongue, bitter all the way, could do with something to break it up.

Cask Half Pint at Craft Beer Co, Clapham, London in Dec 2013 - Yellowy Gold in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous hops. Very Fruity; bitter grapefruit citrus, peaches, tropical fruits. Malty; biscuity malts. Lovely bitter hoppy fruity throughout. Finishes dry. Enjoyed this a lot. Terrific APA!

Keg from the Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Pale ale with not much in the way of a head. Fresh taste with a very bitter finish. Some tropical fruits coming through, but not as much as I’ve tasted in similar beers. Good, but not great.
