3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint at The Beer Hall Staveley. Hazy amber with a clinging white head. Lime and tropical fruit, and a hint of cat pee in the aroma. Tropical fruit, stewed tea green vine flavour. Some astringency in the finish. For me, strongly reminiscent of Oakham Green Devil IPA, and not quite achieving the true lip-smacking I had hoped. But still a very good beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden yellow with a large white head, which remains. Aroma is slightly earthy and citrus. Taste is piney hops, mango, slight caramel and butterscotch with a whiff of bitterness throughout. Solid with a full body and a lovely silky cask mouthfeel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
10.4.2014. Mild, lemonish aroma. Sth similar in aroma and taste, some fruit, but its stuffy. Also citrus, bitter. Too simple.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Booths, Ilkley. Murky, dark gold. Film of white head. Not a looker. Doesn’t drink that great, either. It’s like a beer that’s been stored too warm. I’d have to say that one or two of the beers I last got from Booths, have been like this. I don’t think this is how it left the brewery...

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I like the passion fruit thing going on, the aroma is nice, but i thought this was ’hard’ drinking, not for any not pleasant things, but that I thought each mouth was like a hammer blow, and I wanted something more measured and longer in drinking, this is one of those short drinks, it all happens up front, then a gap, and then you are left with a lingering thing that makes you frown a bit, as if like you didn’t enjoy it, making you a bit gun-shy.

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Drinking this a couple of weeks before its best-by-date on the opposite side of the world, so it’s not anywhere near fresh. The punchy hop aroma that others mention has been replaced by the smell of concrete after a rain, the ’crystal clear’ is now hazy straw, yet the taste and palate are damn good. My god, I imagine this would be in the mid-to-high FOURS fresh.
