Bottle. Booths, Ilkley. Murky, dark gold. Film of white head. Not a looker. Doesnít drink that great, either. Itís like a beer thatís been stored too warm. Iíd have to say that one or two of the beers I last got from Booths, have been like this. I donít think this is how it left the brewery...

stravale (2478) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - JUL 26, 2012
Bottle from Beer Hive, Edinburgh
Golden, clear, frothy white head that dissipates, bit of lacing
Aroma - Pale malts, some hay, some soft grassy hops, bit of must
Taste - Better than the aroma - grassy hops, some resinous hops, sweet palate malts, bit of damp hay, some zest. In the middle, more bitterness but tempered by the sweetish hay malts. Unusual hops here, bit earthy as well. Quite complex. Not that fruity, more zest, grassy and wet hay.
Palate - soft carb, medium body. Finish - more bitter here, now bitter grapefruit coming through and more zest, less grass. Quite a complex linger of hops left in the lingering
Overall - Hard to describe this one as itís rather unusual. I liked it though, the bitterness seems to want to be overpowering but is always held back by the malts. Itís a very good beer

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Aroma is pine pot pourri crossed with a fresh flowery summer meadow.. lots of citrus & pine with a resinous aftertaste.. not too full on mind, but a very fresh juicy beer nonetheless.

Bottle. Piney slightly catty aromas. Pours very bright yellow gold. Piney catty hops with hints of tropical fruits. Finishes light & dry. I like it and would like to try it cask conditioned.

Cask at Earl of Essex, Islington. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity with funky earthy veg. Medium body mild carbonation. It's fusty, grassy, a bit of melon, grapefruit, ash. Nice bitter finish. Slightly unusual, but tasty enough. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at Craft Beer Co. Pours pale gold, white foamy head. Nose is big and bold hoppy pale ale. Gooseberry and grapefruit with lime, spice and pinewood. Taste is grapefruit and gooseberry bitter fruit and spicy woody notes. One of the best British versions of a pale ale Iíve ever had. Excellent.
