Cask at 9a. Amber with a white head. Aroma is quite something, massive hop hit, has it all, grapefruit, pine, orange. Similar taste, lots of citrus hops. A bit on the warm and flat side a la cask. I’m sure I’d love this from a bottle or keg.

Cask at caley. Pours golden blonde with strong pine and mango notes. Medium bodied and good carbonation. Quite bitter but with plenty of hop fruit too. Almost as good as NZPA

Cask. Aroma is resin and hops, taste is cirusy U.S hops, pine and bitterness. Colour is pale gold with a long lasting white head. A very good beer. American IPA brewed in the Lake District using American hops. Excellent.

Cask @ The Bon Accord. Golden amber colour, good head. Resin & tropical fruit aroma. Hoppy flavour. Bitter sweet aftertaste. A good American beer from a British brewer.

[cask, FyneFest 2012] Golden pour, thick white head. Enormous citrus aroma – grapefruit, lemon and lime. This one has real hop bite to it – more citrus, leading to a long bitter finish. Lots of body, too, at 6%. Outstanding [02062012]

Cask at JDW. Orange pour with lots of lacing. Good use of American hops, conjuring up tangerine, grapefruit and mango in the aroma. Body holds together well and has the extra thickness that the ABV would suggest. Not as fresh and thirst-quenching as other beers of I’ve had of this style, but another good beer from Hawkshead.

Cask by handpump at Society Room, Glasgow (21 Apr 12) - hazy golden ale, bubbly cream head, slightly cold, citrus hop aroma, initial sweet fruity taste, then overtaken by prolonged bitter citrus and sour aftertaste, over hopped

Cask @ CPK. A cousin of Hawkshead’s NZPA. Light coppery color with a medium white head. Hoppy nose, plenty of pine needles, resin, juicy fruits. The flavor is much the same, balanced hop flavors, drinkable and not over the top by any means. Flowery. Medium body, easy to drink. Subtle carbonation. Overall, a really nice pale ale served in great nick.
