Toffee malt aroma. Beautiful ruby amber colour with excellent head. Delicious caramel and toffee malts up front lightly hopped with a smooth finish. Medium body and carbonation.

330ml brown bottle. An amber-brown beer with a large foamy tan head. Nose is dominated by the roasty caramel malts with nutty notes and subtle floral hops. Taste is sweet and malty with a medium bitter hop finish. Palate is refined and sessionable with a medium body and light carbonation. Well balanced.

mattyhennessy (289) - Highton, AUSTRALIA - MAR 3, 2014
Pours a brown amber with a clear body. Off white head that slightly laces. Little aroma, some stonefruit sweetness. Roasted malt dominates the palate providing sweetness, but lacking any hop hit. Body is very thin and tastes quite watery and metallic. High level of carbonation, almost like it had been watered down with soda water.

Dark amber, almost brown in colour, small white head, earthy malty aroma, well carbonated with mild hops flavours thrown in. Not too bad.

(Bottle) Clear deep copper color with thin off-white head. Strange metallic (steel) aroma with some lemon and candy hints. Light body, rather fizzy carbonation. Foretaste is good with quite rich malt and some peppery spiciness. There’s also hints of tea and tobacco. The taste rather collapses and becomes thin through to a finish that mixes some pleasant peppery notes with that metallic tang. Didn’t really do it for me.

Clear copper color, tan head. Sweet, malty, grainy taste. Caramel, bread aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Sweet, maltys cent.

ALLOVATE (2383) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 14, 2013
An attractive number; effervescent with a persistent off-white foam that laces a thick film. Body a sparkling orange chestnut. Nose is dominated by salted peanuts, taffy, praline and fresh baked white bread. Super sweet malt and cereal grain on the palate. Frothy mouthfeel though light in body with a sickly burnt toast and caramel finish. The only kink in the chain is a dry peppery hop note just on the swallow. Not much here really. (33cL, First Choice Liquor, Midland)

Well made nice tasty easy to drink beer. The Pleasant roast malt stood out for me with this beer offering a pleasant but mildly flavoured beer with just a hint of bitterness to balance the malts.

From 330 ml bottle. It pours a clear honey-amber with a thin white head. Roast malt and a light floral note on the nose. Taste is mainly smooth malt followed by by a crisp hop bite. Body is a bit thin for this style. Fairly simple but quite enjoyable.

330mL bottle. Pours a lovely deep mahogany with a nice creamy head. Aroma has that typical english hop twang, 1 part spicy, 2 parts rust steel. Despite the lack luster aroma the beer has some interesting flavour. Worth a try if you can get it.
