2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured a clear golden amber colour with a one-finger bubble head that diminished quickly and left some lacing. Moderate to high carbonation. Aroma sweet and a bit hoppy but not strong. Taste initially sweet followed by a very mild hops bitterness. Light body. Crisp smooth finish.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Was surprised the brew rated so high. Poured a hazy orange amber with small white head that lasted only shortly. Aroma sweet citrus, touch of stale sourness. Taste empty water up front followed by sour yeast and not much bitterness. Thin on palate, dry mouthfeel, with short finish. Overall, not good. Perhaps something was wrong with my bottle. Shrug.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330mL bottle 16AUG13
Pale golden body, great clarity, holds a small white head.
Pleasant aroma of floral hops. Notes of grapefruit, stonefruit and pine, with an underlying pale malt toastiness.
Medium bodied, decent carbonation, quite crisp and refreshing.
Pale malts lend a cereally, lightly toasted sweetness to hop flavours of citrus, pine and subtle tropical fruits. Finishes with a well integrated bitterness and lingering malt character.
Quite nice, certainly one of the better Aussie APA’s on the general market.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle) Faintly hazy amber with almost no head. Lovely aroma of tangy stone fruit. Medium body with decent carbonation. Taste is good, with nice fruity tang over a light malt with reasonable hoppy bitterness in finish. A very acceptable APA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very fine carbonation streams softly up to a lax and limp wafer of white. Th body a sunny orange amber with good clarity. Heady zest of lime and lemon over layers of fresh made marmalade on the nose. Biscuity underneath with a little pine-wood and chamomile. With a thick and full aroma it is dissimilarly thin and just a little watery on the palate. Not to say it hasn’t got enough flavour to carry it. Nice assertive bitterness with a nettle, pine-needle finish that keeps it on the drier side. Rather grainy with a wholemeal, cereal edge over just a touch of orange pulp and lime zest. Carbonation gives it a racy feel; there is just a touch of vanillin showing late. Opens up and thankfully fills out as it warms. This wasn’t too bad an effort really. Easily sessionable, not too heavy and shows great balance. Good stuff!!
