Very fine carbonation streams softly up to a lax and limp wafer of white. Th body a sunny orange amber with good clarity. Heady zest of lime and lemon over layers of fresh made marmalade on the nose. Biscuity underneath with a little pine-wood and chamomile. With a thick and full aroma it is dissimilarly thin and just a little watery on the palate. Not to say it hasn’t got enough flavour to carry it. Nice assertive bitterness with a nettle, pine-needle finish that keeps it on the drier side. Rather grainy with a wholemeal, cereal edge over just a touch of orange pulp and lime zest. Carbonation gives it a racy feel; there is just a touch of vanillin showing late. Opens up and thankfully fills out as it warms. This wasn’t too bad an effort really. Easily sessionable, not too heavy and shows great balance. Good stuff!! 330ml bottle. Well carbonated with a strong bright gold colour and large fluffy white head. Hop and flowering buds are strong in the aroma. Quite nice with a good solid flavour and decent bitterness level. An all round good effort.
