3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 23, 2012 poured from tap into a tulip. Pours a solid orange color with no real head.
Well balanced and very aromatic with notes of creams, oranges, spices and a touch of hops.
Full bodied with a very smooth feel, but lacking a bit in the flavors. Decent depth with flavors of spices, oranges and some creams.
A very good belgian IPA. Well balanced and very drinkable. The spice on it is nice, but it is lacking a slight bit in the flavors.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at Haymarket. Hazy yellow-gold body, small-bubbled white head laces, thin head remains. Nose is pineapple, peach, clean wheat before the mango and orange take over. Heavy bubblegum esters in flavor, light citrus and dirty wheat. Stinging, sticky profile, low carbonation, almost no hint of bitterness despite the heavy fruit presence, thankfully low residual sugars though low carbonation keeps it feeling a bit too sweet and muddled.

On tap at Haymarket. Pours deeply hazed golden orange with nice off-white head. Aromas of belgain spices, yeast, tropical fruits, rye, and some hops. Flavors of belgain spices, grapefruit, tropical fruit, rye, clove, and some malty sweetness. Really nicely balanced and drinkable IPA. Pretty nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Haymarket, after a session at the Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beers. The last beer of the day that I took any notes on. Hazy yellow with a small, bright white head. Bright nectarine, light spruce and mild bubblegum nose. Moderate clove and black pepper atop moderately bitter herby hops. An interesting and refreshing mix of spice- and fruit-centric hops.

A hazed golden IPA with a thin lacing white off white head. In aroma, a superb herbal malt with curacao, herbal hops, grassy and smooth. In mouth, a smooth herbal malt with nice herbal Belgian hops, a bit of catnip, grainy notes, dry mouthfeel, orange pulp, rye notes, well done. On tap at brewpub, Nov. 11 2011.

Brewerd with Amirillo and Cascade hops, this American Belo-Style ale beer is very aromatic and tasty to the palate. Very mild carbonation, and a delectable sweet taste. Winner of a gold medal at the GABF 2011!!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy pale. Small head of fine bubbles. Pine in the nose but kind of sweet and fruity once tasted. Not bad but kind of unbalanced toward sweetness for its light body.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is very fresh, pungent, nice citric and spicy character, a touch herbal as the pungent tropical character is forefront. Flavor is tasty as well, the rye comes through nicely with the belgian yeast and spicy rye and hop character. Finishes with the belgian yeast following through with a touch of a stinky hop note. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Nice beer

Sampled @ the brewery. My wife is addicted to the game and is a fan of IPA’s...had to try it. Crystal clear rusty penny pour with a small eggshell head. Aroma and flavor show citrus, spicy pepper, and honey. Medium mouthfeel.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pint pour at Haymarket in Chicago. This beer was fantastic, and despite the pork-intensive description given by the brewer, it went well as my easy going initial drink at the restaurant before the appetizers arrived. The flavor was calm but punctuated, simultaneous rye and hops, two of my favorite flavor components. No abv aftershock either. Very mild carbonation.
