COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicious recipe was created in collaboration with our dear friends from Jerry’s Sandwich Shop for their 6th Anniversary (Friday, July 12th!). This brew was made with honey malt, 10 gallons of orange blossom honey & loads of Saphir hops. The name? Well, get your mind out of the gutter - Jerry’s mascot is a rooster. Haymarket’s mascot is a sock monkey.

On tap @ Haymarket. Pour is cloudy orange with a small beige head. Aroma/flavor of rich caramel malt, biscuit, earth, and honey. Finish is very sweet, borderline cloying.

Orange with white head. Had this on draft at Jerry's in Andersonville. Bitter hoppy and floral taste. Orange aroma. Very good

Draught at brewpub. Malty and slightly fruity double. Honey and sweet. But not too much. Saphir interesting addition.

On tap @ Haymarket. Pours slightly cloudy orange amber with thin head. Aroma is sweet rich malt and some earthy hops. Taste is super sweet malt with notable honey and sharply bitter fresh earthy hops. The bitterness helps, but hard not to find this too sweet.

Tap flight at the brewery. Opaque burnt orange color. The khaki colored head reduces to a thick ring but with an ever present foam dot in the middle of the brew. Simple syrup fragrance with wet dog aroma. The aroma may be from the glass. Taste is hoppy, syrupy, and a little boozy. Sweet but not cloying. Malt joins the hops and heat in the aftertaste.

Interesting choice of hops and ingredients for a dipa. It makes it this sort of floral but candy-like dipa, not terrible.

Draft at Jerry’s. Golden-caramel with modest, off-white head, some lacing / Mellow, sweet nose of honey, pine, citrus, caramel, resin / Medium to full body, some chew, moderate sweet, but good balance with some biting hops, and bitter finish, light alcohol kick / Restrained, winey, somewhat complex flavors of orange blossom honey, toast, pine, violet, grapefruit, spun sugar, toffee / Quite nice, with honey character admirably restrained. A little bigger, and it’s a barleywine.
