Growler shared at RBWG, poured a black color with aro.as of earth, fudge, coffee, booze, and some vanilla. Flavors were a eich chocolate with some coffee thrown in, a touch if wood and earthy hops and finishing with a light bourbon finish. Thanks to whoever brought this gem, a very tasty beer overall.

Growler shared at RBWG! Pours an opaque black with thin tan head and light lacing, a good amount of brown film on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, but overlying bourbon on all of it. Taste follows, solid bourbon barreled imperial stout. A bit boozy, thick mouth that sticks nicely to your tongue. Great beer.

Growler at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Thanks, Chris! Black with a small tan head that fades pretty quickly. Nose shows lots of port upfront, rich dark fruits, roast, cocoa. Great nose, even though its so big. Haven’t had the regular Acrimonious, but I was very impressed with the balance of this one and how well the port barrel blended with the base imperial stout. Really tasty, one of my fave imperial stouts of the weekend.
