On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light fruit and citrus with a bit of Belgian yeast and sweet grains. Flavor has citrus that starts bitter but becomes sweet with Belgian yeast with a nice grain backing.

Golden orange with a slight amber hue. Lacing is decent as the head fades. Aroma and flavor are both smooth with slight hints of Belgian spice to go along with the citrus and subtle sweetness.

Tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy yellow pour with a soapy white head. Awesome - the yeast plays with the piney hops so well. Brilliantly crafted.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a cloudy golden straw color with one finger white head. Has a lightly hopped aroma with some pine notes. Flavor is floral grassy pine, and mild sweet malt hidden underneath. Very smooth. Medium to light body and smooth carbonation.

Hefty hop notes, but still a supremely balanced IPA that doesn’t rely too heavily on any one ingredient. Tastes superb, with one of the greatest aromas I’ve ever encountered. A little earthy, a little malty- and just right.

Sample. Poured a foggy yellowish color with a soapy white head. Aroma was grass, pepper, citrus and pine. Flavor was grapefruit, spruce and Belgium malts. Sticky and oily feeling. Not bad.

tmoreau (1625) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2012
On tap at the annual CBS picnic, and self served to clear plastic with a deep, orangy amber hue, lasting cream & bubbles froth to the head, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The nose was smooth malt, a hint of spice, and expressive citrus of grapefuit & orange. A favorably sharp astringency, estery sweetness, and the 7% abv worked well together in the flavor. Medium bodied, the hop signature assisted the brew in lingering bitter and dry past the finish. Strong, and almost Imp. worthy.

Cloudy lemon yellow. Medium aroma of lemon and banana. Medium-bodied palate is cremy but fresh with a nice balance of citrusy lemon flavors and creamy banana.

Draft sample at MWBBF. Haymarket was really rotating through their beers there, so I’m glad I asked names. This one pours a hazy straw color with a small white head. Notes of sweet malts, bread, candi sugar, citrus, banana, clove, wheat, straw, grass, and pepper. Definitely more Belgian character in this one than in Angry Birds. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a bready, earthy mouthfeel. Good beer.

Draught at Haymarket. Cloudy golden/amber - white head. Apples. Esters. Medium hoppy. Phenolic. Grape fruits. Petroleum notes. Light malty. Peppery.
