3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap, poured into a sampler glass. Bright citrus aromas come through initially with a light grass and pine note slowly increasing with time. There’s just a touch of dough/yeast late in the drink. A soft, gelatin like white head tops a murky, dull, orange-brown beer. A medium thick ring is retained with a fuzzy surface, and a moderate, light lace is left behind. The medium high sweetness is complemented by a medium/ medium high bitterness at the finish. It’s smooth and creamy with a medium body. Floral citrus (namely grapefruit and orange) hit the palate first with a zesty, dry pine finish. Dry grass, bread crust, and pine stick around briefly, but cleans up nicely.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Location: Draft at the brewpub, 5/28/14
Aroma: The nose is tropical and citrus fruits, with some pine/woodsy notes
Appearance: It pours a dark orange color with lasting sheet of off-white colored head
Flavor: The taste is much the same, fruity, lightly sweet, with a nie fruity and pine hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft carbonation, and a pretty dry finish
This one was probably my favorite of the Haymarket beers on my trip. Very nice beer. I’ll definitely be back here for more of their beers.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Haymarket. Mostly copper clear orange, some musty, citrus and pine hoppiness in the aroma that has a nice round maltiness to it but very clean. Flavor follows suit, loving the juicy Simcoe hoppiness, clean, bitter and not overly aggressive. Medium to lighter body. Very solid.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a slight gold hue with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of grass and somewhat dank pine with a earthy grain backbone. Flavor has notes of dank pine with backing notes of grass and onion as well as light grain.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour from a growler at Perennial the night before MWBBF- thanks to the Haymarket manager, who shared it with us. Pours a semi-cloudy gold color with a small cream-white head. The aroma has piney, leafy, oniony simcoe character, with some straw and caramel malts. Flavor of pine, citrus, leaves, pale and caramel malts, earth, and onion. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a citrusy, earthy mouthfeel. Good IPA.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Orange-amber with quickly dissipating white head. Nose of juicy mandarin orange, apricot, resin, confectioners sugar. Medium body, slightly sticky, with good carbonation. Tastes of lemongrass, orange zest, apricot, ...cotton candy? As someone who?s tried all of ’em, this is my favorite Haymarket single IPA. As good as any single in the land.
