On tap at the Brewpub, October 21, 2011.
Clear dark orange with a small white head. Good aroma of fruit, hops and some malt. Quite a lot of pine in the taste, also other fruits, malt and caramel. Easy to drink, not as bitter as expected. A solid beer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy amber gold with a near white head that laces slightly and dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of non sweet mango with some grass and a hint of grains. Flavor is similar with a lot of mango, hint of grapefruit and some backing hay and grass.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at GABF 2011. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. The aroma is huge citra hops, tea and marmalade. A very smooth flavor if citra hops, very light bitterness, of course massive tropical fruits. Very solid and super smooth.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ brewery! Headed over after an amazing meal at Girl and tge Goat. Bright copper/brass pour with a small white head (very dim lighting, so I apologize for any inconsistencies). Nose of sharp citrus, harsh pine, and caramel. ABV marvelously hidden...orange peel and resin are balanced by light honey. Medium to syrupy mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at brewpub. Pours clear dark orange with white head. Aromas of mango, pineapple, bready malts, hops. Flavors dominated by mango and pineapple with some bready malts and caramel. Lacking the big burst of hop bitterness I was hopping for. Wonder how fresh this batch was. Enjoyable but not what I was expecting.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
GTMW. Poured a hazy amber color with a moderate frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Medium to heavy complex citrus hop and exotic fruit aroma with a malt tone. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
[Tap] Sampler at the brewpub. Fragrant hoppy nose is spicy and also includes sweet tropical fruitiness. Heavy palate is of sweet caramel, heavy bitterness, alcohol and lingering mango/grapefruit sweetness. Oily and viscous body. Decent drinkability considering its weight. A solid brew.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at GTMW - Pours hazy amber with a small white ring of head. Oniony hops dominate the nose, along with citrus and sweet malt. Lots of oniony hops in the taste, too, along with sweet, lightly bready malt. Smooth and well-carbonated, but too much onion.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazed orange-amber colored body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, light tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is quite nice and vibrant with lots of fresh, sweeter pine and floral hops. Pineapple, tropical fruits, orange and grapefruit citruses, and some mango. Nice caramel sweetness to round out the aroma with a light stickiness. Flavor is similar. Lots of tropical fruits and piney pineapples up front with a sweeter caramel. Very fruity in the middle with a touch of bread before this finishes dry and clean with a medium-light, piney, fruity and juicy, tad bit resiny bitterness that leaves a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Lighter body with a moderate carbonation and no hint of the alcohol. Overall, a very nice DIPA. Lots of fruity flavor and very easy drinking. I liked this one a lot.
